Interior doors are not just openings in a wall that you pass through. They are the first thing you see when you enter a room, and they determine the feeling you get from the entire apartment or house. When they are custom-made, they stop being just a functional element and become part of your home's story. In our workshop in Hutisko-Solanec, we handcraft them from honest solid wood, so they last for decades and yet look like they have always belonged there.

Why custom interior doors make the most sense

When you have doors made precisely for your opening, many problems you have with mass-produced doors suddenly disappear.

Precise dimensions and perfect fit

No wide jambs, no unnecessary trims, no gaps that would need to be concealed. The door fits precisely into the opening as it should. This means clean lines, a better look, and also better sealing against drafts and noise.

Solid construction without compromise

Thickness of 40 to 50 mm (even more for larger formats), dowel and tongue-and-groove joints, no hollow paper and cardboard fillings. Such doors do not move, do not crack after the heating season, and last a really long time.

Better acoustics and thermal insulation

Solid wood dampens sound significantly better than hollow doors. When a child sleeps behind them or you have a TV in the living room, you will notice it immediately.

Quality hardware and quiet closing

We choose hinges and locks from proven manufacturers. The doors close quietly, smoothly, and without snagging. No banging, no creaking after a year of use.

Materials we use for interior doors

The basic wood types are oak and ash. Oak is the hardest, has a distinctive grain, and over time acquires an even deeper patina. Ash is lighter, more elegant, with finer lines and a fresh appearance. Other wood types (walnut, maple, cherry, exotic species) we only do by request – if you have a specific idea, write to us and we will discuss it.

The surface is always natural. We use oils or waxes that allow the wood to breathe. No synthetic varnish that cracks and peels after a few years. After 10 to 15 years, the doors just need to be re-oiled and they look almost new.

Smooth doors without routing

Clean minimalism. Great for modern apartments, small spaces, or when you want the doors to blend in with their surroundings.

Routed and panel doors

Classics with depth. Simple routing, double or triple panels. Suitable for country houses, cottages, and elegant interiors.

Glazed interior doors

Frosted glass for privacy, clear for transparency, decorative glass for an interesting effect. A routed frame around the glass adds character to the doors.

Brushed or distressed doors

For a rustic style. The wood is brushed to highlight the annual rings and knots, or distressed for an aged look.

Custom sliding doors

Pocket (hidden) or barn door style. Ideal where you want to save space or create an interesting transition between rooms.

Each door is unique. You can see exactly which piece of wood it comes from, where the knots were, what the grain looks like. This is not accidental, it is intentional.
